MARSHFIELD – The Marshfield boys track and field team won all but one event and defeated D.C. Everest 349-170 in an indoor dual meet Tuesday at Marshfield High School.
In the field events, Ethan Knecht won the shot put (50 feet, 1.75 inches), Triton Gross was first in the triple jump (40-11.5), Emerson DeJarlais won the pole vault (10-6) and Dirk Vanderwyst won the high jump (6-3) for the Tigers.
The Marshfield 4×880 relay team of Lincoln Berger, Marshall Neve, Roman Drach and Paul Ugoretz won in 9:48.86, and the 4×440 team of Gross, Logan Bell, Juan Rivera Villasmil and Hector Zimmerman won in 4:17.13.
Earning individual running wins for the Tigers were: Joshua Peters in the 60-yard hurdles (9.31), J.J. Steinbach in the 60-yard dash (6.74) and the 220 (25.58), Kashton Kilty in the mile (5:27.90), Gross in the 440 (1:01.88) and Neve in the 880 (2:19.27).
Marshfield will compete at the River Falls Indoor Invitational on Saturday at UW-River Falls.
