Stratford track wins three events at Red Hawk Challenge at Ripon College

RIPON – Stratford won three events at the Red Hawk Challenge indoor track and field meet at Ripon College on Tuesday.

Team scores were not reported.

Earning victories for the Tigers were Jett Schoenherr in the boys 60 meters (7.00 seconds), Cree DeFoe in the boys 3,200 (9:52.19) and Brianna Sherden in the girls 60 (7.93).

Kayla Casperson was the runner-up in the girls 3,200 in 11:54.05 and Zander Zawislan took third in the boys 200 in 23.79 seconds for Stratford.

Also earning top-six finishes for Stratford were the girls 800 relay team (1:54.31), Connor Kreft in the boys triple jump (41 feet, 9 inches), and Garrett Zuelke in the boys 800 (2:06.57).

Stratford’s next competition will be the Marawood Conference Indoor Meet at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point on Monday.
