TOMAH – Tyler Kremer and Owen Griesbach combined on a two-hit shutout as the Marshfield baseball team won its season-opener over Tomah 6-0 on Friday at Tomah High School.
Kremer allowed two hits and two walks over five shutout innings to pick up the win, and Griesbach wrapped up the shutout with two clean innings.
Caleb Schaefer had three hits and drove in a run, Jakob Sadowska added two hits and two RBI, and Griesbach and Jackson Wernberg also had two hits apiece for the Tigers.
Marshfield is off until Friday, April 11, when it travels to River Falls before opening its home schedule with a doubleheader against Hudson on Saturday, April 12.
