NEILLSVILLE – Stratford scored multiple runs in three different innings and rolled to a 13-1 win over Neillsville/Granton in the season-opener for both teams on Friday at Neillsville High School.
The Tigers started their season with three runs in the top of the first inning and never looked back.
Stratford tacked on five more in the third inning and ended the game via the 10-run rule with a five-run fifth.
Jack Tubbs had two hits and two RBI, and Vance Kielman and Jaeger Ormond each drove in a pair of runs as well for Stratford.
The Tigers will play another nonconference game Monday at Wausau East.
