NEKOOSA – Danika Blomberg had an RBI single in the first inning and that would be all Auburndale would need in a 1-0 win over Nekoosa in a nonconference softball game Friday at Nekoosa High School.

Morgan Griesbach tossed a gem for the Eagles, allowing just two hits and one walk with eight strikeouts in the complete game shutout.

Griesbach, Breleigh Grimm and Chesney Nagel each had two hits for Auburndale (2-2).

Auburndale will host Neillsville for another nonconference game Monday at 4:45 p.m.
