POYNETTE – The Stratford softball team dropped a pair of games at the Poynette Triangular on Saturday, losing to the host Poynette 9-4 and Fond du Lac St. Mary’s Springs 14-1.
Stratford’s Emma Roeper had a home run and drove in two in the loss to Poynette.
Against St. Mary’s Springs, Stratford was held to six hits as the Ledgers ripped 17, scoring in multiple runs in three different innings.
Carly Pankratz, Laney Pankratz and Dakota Knetter each had two hits for the Tigers, who fall to 3-2.
Poynette went on to defeat St. Mary’s Springs 11-0 to win the triangular title and improve to 3-0 this season.
Stratford will host Wittenberg-Birnamwood for a nonconference game at Tuesday at Hilgemann Field starting at 4:45 p.m.
