HOLMEN – The Marshfield girls soccer team could not hold on to an early lead and dropped a nonconference match to Holmen 2-1 on Monday at Holmen High School.
Lauryn Katzenberger scored on a penalty kick just 3:10 into the game for Marshfield, but that would all the Tigers would muster.
Holmen (1-0) scored in the 41st minute to tie the game and won it with a goal with 14 minutes remaining.
The Tigers (1-2) will host Appleton North for another nonconference game Tuesday at 5 p.m. at Heiting Community Stadium.
