ALMOND – Almond-Bancroft pounded out 15 hits and defeated Columbus Catholic 15-0 in a nonconference softball game Tuesday at Almond-Bancroft High School.
The Dons uncharacteristically committed nine errors, leading to eight unearned runs for Almond-Bancroft (3-0).
Columbus Catholic (3-1) was held to three hits, all singles from Katelyn Casperson, Izzy Holz and Ashley Weiler.
Columbus Catholic will open its Cloverbelt Conference East Division season at Loyal/Greenwood on Thursday.
