Marshfield girls soccer forges tie with Green Bay Notre Dame

WESTON – The Marshfield girls soccer team mustered a 1-1 tie with Green Bay Notre Dame in a nonconference game at the Greenheck Turner Community Center at D.C. Everest High School on Friday afternoon.

Audrey Luedtke headed in a goal off a corner kick by Hadlee Hall that was tipped by a Notre Dame player, giving the Tigers a 1-0 lead in the 72nd minute.

Notre Dame (2-0-1) was able to tie the game with two minutes to go on a goal by Abby LaMere.

Payton Bremer had nine saves in goal for the Tigers (1-3-1).

Marshfield’s defensive effort was led by Grace Will, Mia Preston, Keira Raab and Emmalynn Clements.

Marshfield will take on Hudson at 3 p.m. Saturday again at D.C. Everest’s new indoor facility.
