AUBURNDALE – Auburndale sophomore pitcher Morgan Griesbach tossed a three-hit shutout as the Eagles blanked Phillips 9-0 in a nonconference softball game Friday at Auburndale High School.

Griesbach struck out six and walked one in the seven-inning complete game as the Eagles improve to 3-2 this season.

Mya Krings drove in two runs with a single in the fourth and the Eagles busted the game open with a six-run sixth inning, helped by an RBI single from Krings and a two-run double by Breleigh Grimm.

Auburndale is back at home Monday against Wisconsin Rapids Assumption for its Marawood Conference South Division opener.
