River Falls uses 12-run inning to stun Marshfield baseball

RIVER FALLS – River Falls put up 12 runs in the bottom of the fifth inning to overcome a three-run deficit and defeat Marshfield 15-6 in a nonconference baseball game Friday at 1st National Bank Stadium.

The Tigers led 6-3 after a six-run top of the fifth, which included an RBI double by Jakob Sadowska, an RBI single from Chase Robinson, a wild pitch and a steal of home on a double steal by Owen Griesbach.

River Falls responded with the huge inning that included six hits and four walks against three Marshfield pitchers.

Marshfield will play its first home games of the season Saturday as it hosts Hudson for a doubleheader at Jack Hackman Field beginning at 11 a.m.
