Marshfield boys golf opens season with 29th-place finish at Washington County Invitational

HARTFORD – The Marshfield boys golf team opened its 2025 season by finishing in the middle of the pack, taking 29th place at the 56-team Washington County Invitational, which was held Friday and Saturday at Hartford Golf Club and Washington County Golf Course.

Milwaukee Marquette won the team title with a two-day score of 594, eight shots better than Oconomowoc. Marshfield had team scores of 330 both days for a total of 660 to place 29th.

Keegan Fredrick shot a 161 with rounds of 81 and 80 to tie for 69th place to lead Marshfield.

Ryder Miller of Sheboygan North won individual medalist honors with a 73-68-141, two strokes in front of Edgerton’s Caleb Kern.

Afton Hamill and Magnus Machtan were among an 11-way tie for 119th with 168s, and Camden Kosltad and Saket Kanchireddy both had two-day totals of 169 to tie for 130th for the Tigers.

Marshfield will be right back in action Monday at a triangular at Bullseye Golf Club in Wisconsin Rapids on Monday.
