STRATFORD – The Stratford baseball team scored in double digits in two different innings and obliterated Wausau Newman Catholic 25-0 in its Marawood Conference South Division opener Monday at the Tiger Stadium Baseball Field.
The Tigers scored 11 times in the first inning and added 13 in the third as they rolled to the win, improving 3-1 overall.
Newman Catholic had nine walks and 11 errors, while Stratford also knocked out 14 hits.
Jaeger Ormond finished with three hits and four RBI, and Blake Roeper, Riley Spindler, Christian Rehm and Jack Remus all added two RBI in the win for the Tigers.
The two teams will meet again Tuesday at Brockmeyer Park in Wausau at 4:45 p.m.
