STRATFORD – The Stratford softball team scored in all four innings, knocking out 10 hits and using nine walks to defeat Wausau Newman Catholic 15-0 in the Marawood Conference South Division opener for both teams on Monday at Hilgemann Field.
The Tigers put the game away early, scoring eight times in the second inning, and rolled to the win, which ended in the fourth due to the 15-run rule.
Emma Roeper, Tria Tubbs, Dakota Knetter and Gracie Krummel each had two hits, with Krummel driving in three and Roeper two for Stratford (4-3 overall).
The two teams will play again Tuesday at Newman Catholic.
