WISCONSIN RAPIDS – The Auburndale baseball team battered Wisconsin Rapids Assumption pitching, using 21 hits and nine walks to roll to a 22-1 win in a Marawood Conference South Division game Tuesday at Witter Field.
Leadoff hitter Peyton Weinfurter went 4-for-4 with two doubles and a triple and scored six times, while Blake Raab finished 5-for-5 with five RBI and three runs scored to lead the hit parade for the Eagles (3-0, 2-0 Marawood South).
Blake Raab also picked up the pitching win, allowing one run over six innings with six strikeouts.
After scoring in each of the first five innings, the Eagles finished off the win with a 12-run seventh frame.
Auburndale’s next game is Thursday at Spencer.
