MENOMONIE – The Marshfield baseball scored twice in the top of the seventh inning to defeat Menomonie 6-5 in a nonconference game Monday at Wakanda Park.
The Tigers trailed 5-4 heading into their final at-bat as Owen Griesbach led off with a single and and scored on a double by Mason Anderson.
Anderson moved up to third on the throw in and scored on a sacrifice fly by Tyler Kremer to put Marshfield on top 6-5.
Chase Robinson sent Menomonie (4-3) down in order in the bottom of the seventh to finish off the victory for the Tigers (3-5).
Anderson finished 3-for-3, and Robinson and Owen Griesbach each had two hits for Marshfield.
Marshfield will be back in action Thursday with a nonconference game at home at Jack Hackman Field against Antigo beginning at 4:30 p.m.
