WISCONSIN RAPIDS – Morgan Griesbach and Breleigh Grimm each had two hits and three runs scored to lift the Auburndale softball team to a 15-0 win over Wausau Newman Catholic on Monday at Lincoln High School.
The Eagles (6-3, 2-1 Marawood Conference South Division) scored eight times in the bottom of the fourth inning to finish off the win via the 15-run rule.
Griesbach also picked up the pitching win as she allowed one hit and no walks while striking out five.
The two teams will play again Tuesday at Sunnyvale Park in Wausau.
