WISCONSIN RAPIDS – Tria Tubbs tossed a complete-game three-hitter to lead the Stratford softball team to a 3-1 win over Marathon on Tuesday at Lincoln High School.
Tubbs struck out three, walked just one and allowed only a first-inning run as the Tigers split the two-day Marawood Conference South Division series with Marathon, improving to 7-4 overall and 3-1 in conference play.
Laney Pankratz had an RBI double in the first inning, and Carly Pankratz drove in two runs with a single in the second to provide Stratford with all the offense Tubbs would need.
Allison Podjaski had two of Marathon’s three hits as the Raiders drop to 4-2 and 2-2 in the Marawood South.
