CHIPPEWA FALLS – The Marshfield girls soccer team picked up its second win of the season with a 2-0 shutout of Chippewa Falls in a nonconference game Tuesday at Chippewa Falls High School.

Kassidy Christopher scored off an assist from Aubrey Engevold at the 19:50 mark to give the Tigers a 1-0 lead.

The one-goal advantage held until early in the second half when Lauren Homolka knocked in a goal on an assist by Alexis Hoffmann just 2:19 after halftime.

Marshfield (2-4-2) will return to Wisconsin Valley Conference action Thursday at Wisconsin Rapids. Game time is 7 p.m.
