OSSEO – The Spencer/Marshfield Columbus wrestling team recorded seven pins Thursday in a dominating 52-25 Cloverbelt Conference dual meet victory over Osseo-Fairchild/Augusta/Altoona.
Jake Welsh (152 pounds) and Tye Ackman (160) started the match with pins for the Rockets, who finish their Cloverbelt dual meet season at 4-2.
Nick Vaughan (215), Josh Werstovshek (285) and Ashley Stini (103) had consecutive pins following a pair of wins by Osseo-Fairchild, and later in the match Rudy Nieman (130) and Austin Mahoney (145) posted pins for the Rockets.
James Rogers won by major decision, 9-0, at 140, and Danny Schubert won by forfeit at 135 for Spencer/Columbus’ other victories.
The Rockets are off until the Cloverbelt Conference Tournament on Feb. 6 at Loyal.
