STRATFORD – Tria Tubbs threw a complete-game four-hitter and had an RBI triple to lead the Stratford softball team to a 3-1 win over Almond-Bancroft on Thursday at Hilgemann Field.
Tubbs knocked in Carly Pankratz with a triple and scored on a single by Gracie Schmidt in a two-run third inning as the Tigers went up 3-0.
Tubbs did the rest, allowing just one run as she worked around three walks and the four hits to defeat the Eagles (10-3).
Dakota Knetter and Schmidt both had a pair of hits for the Tigers (8-4).
Stratford will be back in action Friday at home against Bonduel.
