MARSHFIELD – Akosua Yeboah threw a one-hitter and drove in four runs as the Columbus Catholic softball team defeated Spencer 11-1 in Cloverbelt Conference East Division action Thursday at the Marshfield Fairgrounds.

The Dons scored four runs in both the fifth and sixth innings to finish off the game via the 10-run rule and improve to 7-1 overall and 4-0 in the Cloverbelt East.

Yeboah struck out 10, walked just one, and allowed an unearned run in the second inning, while also having a double, a triple and four RBI for Columbus Catholic.

Shelby Spata also had a double and a triple, and scored three runs, and Ciena Adler finished with two hits and two RBI for the Dons.

Spencer falls to 1-5 overall and 0-2 in the Cloverbelt East heading into a game at Owen-Withee on Friday.

Columbus Catholic is back in action Monday at home against Auburndale.
