MARSHFIELD – The Columbus Catholic baseball team finished off a two-game Cloverbelt Conference East Division sweep over Owen-Withee/Thorp, winning 12-2 on Thursday night at Jack Hackman Field.
Mac Konieczny had two hits and three RBI, and Carter Sommer had two hits and drove in a pair of runs for the Dons, who are now 9-2 overall and 3-1 in the Cloverbelt East after beating Owen-Withee/Thorp (0-6, 0-5 Cloverbelt East) for the second day in a row.
Carson Eckes picked up the pitching win for the Dons, allowing two runs in five innings with eight strikeouts.
Columbus Catholic will host Auburndale in a nonconference game at Hackman Field on Monday at 5 p.m.
