PARK FALLS – Auburndale senior pitcher Blake Raab struck out 10 in a complete-game two-hitter as the Eagles defeated Chequamegon 5-3 in a nonconference baseball game Friday at Chequamegon High School.
Raab walked just one and two of the three runs he allowed were unearned as Auburndale committed three errors, but pulled out its seventh-straight win to start the season as it knocks off Marawood North-leading Chequamegon (6-3).
Nathan Richardson had three hits and an RBI, and Asa Soppe and Peyton Weinfurter each had two hits for the Eagles.
Auburndale is back in action Monday at Jack Hackman Field in Marshfield against Columbus Catholic. Game time is 5 p.m.
