MARSHFIELD – Both the Marshfield Middle School boys and girls teams won titles at its home invitational on Thursday, the first on the new track at Marshfield Middle School.
Liam Hoerneman set two new school records, winning the 1,600 meters in 4:45 and the 800 in 2:11.07 for Marshfield.
Leeann Luedtke and Sean Sleznikow each won four events for the Tigers.
Sleznikow won the boys 110 hurdles in 20.36 seconds, the long jump (16- feet, 1 inch), the shot put (39-10), and was part of the 400 relay team that won in 49.43.
Luedtke was part of the girls 400 relay that won in 56.58 and the winning 1,600 relay team (4:45.69), and she also won the 800 in 2:35.01 and the pole vault (7-0).
Marshfield will compete at a triangular at Antigo on Monday.
