SPARTA – Afton Hamill and Saket Kanchireddy finished among a group that tied for 10th place to lead Marshfield to a ninth-place team finish at the Sparta Spartan Boys Golf Invitational on Saturday at River Run Golf Course.
Hamill and Kanchrieddy both shot 81 to end up in a seven-way tie for 10th place.
Cochrane-Fountain City won the team title with a score of 319, five shots better than Onalaska. Marshfield was ninth with a 350.
Eli Kruger fired a 90, Lucas Est shot 98 and Maxxon Olson had a 100 to round out Marshfield’s scoring.
Marshfield will compete at the second leg of the Wisconsin Valley Conference Tournament on Monday at Wausau Country Club.
