STRATFORD – The Stratford girls basketball team avenged a loss earlier this season to Northland Lutheran, dominating the Wildcats 70-22 in a Marawood Conference South Division game Tuesday night at Stratford High School.
The Tigers led 18-4 after the first quarter, then blew out Northland Lutheran with a 24-6 advantage in the second quarter. Stratford added a 19-2 run in the third quarter.
Haley Austin scored 22 points and Hannah Schmitt added 13 points and eight rebounds for Stratford.
The Tigers improve to 8-8 and 4-6 in the Marawood South. Northland Lutheran falls to 2-12 and 1-9 in conference.
Stratford plays at Edgar on Friday.
