Spencer girls basketball team defeats Augusta

SPENCER – Krystal Weier had 11 points, eight rebounds, four assists and three steals to lead the Spencer girls basketball team to a 41-28 win over Augusta in a Cloverbelt Conference East Division game Tuesday night at Spencer High School.

The Rockets led a 12-7 after one quarter and used an 11-5 advantage in the third quarter to open up a double-digit lead at 28-18.

Spencer also got six points and eight rebounds from Tara Matter and five points and seven boards from Danica Johnson.

The Rockets improve to 11-3 overall and 8-3 in the Cloverbelt East. Spencer plays at Marshfield Columbus Catholic on Friday.
