Spencer girls basketball rolls past Rib Lake

SPENCER – Krystal Weier scored 15 points and Courtney Schulz added 14 points and six rebounds to lead the Spencer girls basketball team to a 60-42 win over Rib Lake in a nonconference game Spencer High School.

Spencer (13-3) shot a sizzling 56 percent from the field, making 23 of 41 shots.

Tara Matter added 10 points and seven rebounds for the Rockets.

Spencer led 28-24 at halftime before blowing past the Redmen in the second half with a 32-18 advantage.

Emily Fuchs had 19 points to lead Rib Lake (6-10).

Spencer plays another nonconference game at Abbotsford on Tuesday and hosts Owen-Withee in a Cloverbelt Conference East Division game on Thursday.
