STRATFORD – Stratford dominated early and blew past Stevens Point Pacelli 49-26 in a nonconference girls basketball game Tuesday night at Stratford High School.
The Tigers led 18-7 after the first quarter and 32-13 at halftime before closing out the victory to improve to 9-9 on the season. Pacelli falls to 1-18.
Sara Griesbach had 10 of her team-high 12 points in the first half for Stratford. Hannah Schmitt added nine points, 11 rebounds and seven assists, and Carrie Stroetz and Haley Austin each chipped in eight points. Eight different Tigers scored in the victory.
Stratford hosts undefeated Wausau Newman Catholic on Thursday.
