ABBOTSFORD – Courtney Schulz dominated inside, scoring 16 points and grabbing seven rebounds, to lead the Spencer girls basketball team to a 55-26 whitewashing of Abbotsford in a nonconference game Tuesday night at Abbotsford High School.
Schulz hit 7 of 9 shots from the field and was 2 of 2 from the free-throw line to lead the Rockets (14-3) inside. Tara Matter added eight points and 10 rebounds and Krystal Weier scored nine points for Spencer.
The Rockets jumped out to an early 18-4 lead and was up 39-10 by halftime.
Spencer hosts Owen-Withee on Thursday. O-W is one-half game ahead of the Rockets and Colby for second place in the Cloverbelt Conference East Division standings.
