WISCONSIN RAPIDS – Marshfield’s Katie Golden took 12th in the uneven bars and 12th in the floor exercise, finishing seventh in the all-around competition Saturday at the Wisconsin Valley Conference Gymnastics Meet at Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln High School.
Golden had scores of 7.5 in the floor and 6.975 in the uneven bars, and finished with an all-around score of 28.625 for the Tigers, who were third among the four teams at the meet.
Stevens Point won the team title with 134.975 points, just six-tenths of a point ahead of Wisconsin Rapids.
Tabi Dorshorst of Wisconsin Rapids was the all-around champion, finishing with 35.775 points. Hailee Mattmiller of Stevens Point was second with 35.075.
Dorshorst won the balance beam (9.425) and uneven bars (9.1), while Mattmiller took first in the floor (8.825) and vault (8.95).
Marshfield’s other top finishes came from Allison Mitchell, who tied for 13th in the vault (7.75) and Abby Brock in the balance beam (7.25).
