RHINELANDER – The Marshfield girls basketball team wasn’t about to look past last-place Rhinelander, even with a showdown with second-place Wausau West on the horizon.
The Tigers jumped on Rhinelander early and rolled to a 68-23 victory on Tuesday at Rhinelander High School.
The win improves Marshfield’s record to 12-2 overall and 7-0 in the Wisconsin Valley Conference, while Rhinelander falls to 0-12, 0-7 in the Valley.
Marshfield hosts Wausau West (13-2, 6-1 WVC) on Friday at the Marshfield High School Fieldhouse. The Tigers beat the Warriors 55-46 at West on Dec. 18.
