Neillsville shuts out Marshfield Columbus Catholic softball

MARSHFIELD – Courtney Poeschel tossed a one-hitter to lead the Neillsville softball team to a 17-0 victory over Marshfield Columbus Catholic in a Cloverbelt Conference East Division game Friday at the Marshfield Fairgrounds.

Neillsville scored in all five innings, totaling 15 runs over the first three innings, to pull out the win.

The Warriors improve to 6-4, 6-2 in the Cloverbelt East, while the Dons fall to 0-9 overall and in the conference.

Alyssa Anding, Steph O’Leary and Jenny Lindner each had two hits for Neillsville.

Columbus is at Owen-Withee on Tuesday.
