The baseball and softball playoff brackets for Divisions 2, 3 and 4 were announced by the WIAA on Thursday.
The baseball playoffs begin with regional quarterfinals in Divisions 2-4 on Friday, May 27, with regional semifinals in all divisions scheduled for Tuesday, May 31. Regional finals in Divisions 2-4 will be held Wednesday, June 1, and in Division 1 on Friday, June 3. Sectional semifinals and finals are scheduled for Tuesday, June 7, with the WIAA State Baseball Tournament set for Fox Cities Stadium in Appleton on June 14-16.
The softball postseason starts with regional quarterfinals in Division 2-4 on Thursday, May 26. Regional finals in all divisions are set for Tuesday, May 31. Regional finals in all divisions are set for Thursday, June 2, with sectional semifinals on Tuesday, June 7, and sectional finals on Friday, June 10. The WIAA State Softball Tournament will be held at Goodman Field on the University of Wisconsin campus in Madison on June 16-18.
Division 1 brackets in both sports will be announced soon.
In the baseball brackets locally, Stratford is a No. 5 seed and Auburndale is the sixth seed in the same Division 3 regional.
Stratford will play at No. 4 Colby on May 27, with the winner playing at No. 1 seed Stevens Point Pacelli on May 31.
Auburndale will play at No. 3 Edgar on May 27, with the winner playing a regional semifinal at No. 2 Marathon on May 31.
In Division 4, Marshfield Columbus Catholic is the No. 5 seed in its regional and will play at No. 4 Port Edwards at 4:30 p.m. on May 27. The winner plays at No. 1 seed Greenwood on May 31.
Spencer is in the same regional and earned a No. 2 seed and a first-round bye. The Rockets will host the winner of the Granton-Loyal game in a regional semifinal on May 31 at 4:30 p.m.
In softball, Auburndale is the No. 5 seed and will play a Division 3 regional quarterfinal at No. 4 Marathon on May 26. The winner takes on No. 1 seed Stratford on May 31 at Stratford.
In Division 4, Spencer is a No. 1 seed and will host the winner of Wausau Newman Catholic and Loyal at 5 p.m. May 31 at SPREC Field.
Marshfield Columbus Catholic is the No. 6 seed in the bottom half of the bracket and will play at No. 3 Pittsville on May 26. The winner plays in a regional semifinal May 31 at No. 2 seed Almond-Bancroft.
Marshfield will compete in Division 1 in both sports.
