MARSHFIELD – Stevens Point Area Senior High wrapped up an undefeated Wisconsin Valley Conference season, its 14th straight championship, with a 12-0 win over Marshfield in five innings Tuesday at the Marshfield Fairgrounds.
Kelly Franks limited Marshfield to two hits as the Panthers improved to 19-1 and finish their WVC season a perfect 12-0. Marshfield falls to 3-14 and 0-11 in the Valley. The Tigers wrap up their regular season Thursday at home against Wausau West.
Emily Miskoski, Taylor Smola and Emily Mallek each had two hits for SPASH.
Rhiannon Baierl struck out one and walked two for the Tigers.
