STRATFORD – The Stratford boys basketball team rolled past Northland Lutheran 65-51 on Friday night at Stratford High School in a Marawood Conference South Division game.
The Tigers have won four of their last six games and improve to 9-8 overall and 5-6 in the Marawood South. Northland Lutheran falls to 4-11 and 2-9 in the Marawood South.
Jesse Adams made five of nine shots from 3-point range and scored a game-high 25 points for the Tigers, who also owned a 30-19 rebounding advantage.
Chris Newburry added 18 points on 8 of 13 shooting, and was one of three Tigers with six rebounds. Troy Mengel and Matt Griffith also had six rebounds each.
Stratford trailed 26-25 at halftime before ripping off 40 second-half points to win going away.
