STRATFORD – The Stratford boys basketball team improved to 10-8 overall with a 65-41 nonconference win over Manawa on Monday at Stratford High School.
The Tigers are 5-2 in their last seven games heading into Thursday’s Marawood Conference South Division at Edgar.
Jesse Adams hit three 3-pointers and scored a team-high 19 points for the Tigers. Chris Newburry added 14 points and six rebounds, and Matt Griffith had a team-high seven rebounds for Stratford.
The Tigers shot 50 percent from the field (26-for-52) and were able to build a big 18-4 lead after the first quarter and 35-17 advantage by halftime.
Manawa falls to 5-12.
