RIB MOUNTAIN – The Marshfield boys cross country team took third and the girls team placed seventh at the D.C. Everest Invitational on Tuesday at Nine Mile Forest.
Rebecca Voss led the Tigers girls by finishing fifth. Leah Cherney was 25th, Jennifer Kaiser took 34th, Sara Fuller finished 40th and Melissa Brix was 42nd to round out Marshfield’s top five.
Adam Voss led the Marshfield boys with an 11th-place finish. Nolan Redetzke took 15th, Max Tibbett was 27th, Mitch Fischer finished 38th and Talon Labreck took 48th for the Tigers.
The Marshfield JV teams each finished third.
The Tigers boys top-five finishers were Kody Hastreiter in 18th, Josh Herron in 19th, Austin Mahoney in 21st, Nick Bensen in 22nd and Michael Mrotek in 28th.
Dani Sopiarz led the Marshfield JV girls, finishing 13th. Gabby Stained was 19th, Nikki Youngblood took 21st, Emily Wolfe was 22nd and Katie Urquart finished 23rd.
Marshfield will compete at the Smiley Invitational in Wausau on Saturday.
