MARSHFIELD – The University of Wisconsin-Marshfield/Wood County volleyball team came up just short Friday night, dropping a tight five-game match to UW-Barron County 3-2.
Barron won the match 25-15, 21-25, 25-13, 25-27, 15-12 to drop the Marauders’ record to 1-5.
Raylee Baltus had nine kills and five digs to lead the Marauders’ effort. Lindsay Gotz added eight kills and three service aces, Aleena Cook had seven kills, and Kimberly Masephol had six aces for UW-Marshfield/Wood County.
The Marauders play at UW-Baraboo on Wednesday and host Western Technical College on Sept. 23.
