MARSHFIELD – Emma Holbrook won the 100 backstroke in 1:01.68 and Marshfield took two of the three relay events, but the Tigers came up short, losing 101-69 to Wisconsin Rapids in a Wisconsin Valley Conference girls swim meet Thursday at Marshfield High School.
Laura Josephson won the 100 butterfly in 1:08.10 and Megan Marotz tied Wisconsin Rapids’ Rachel Weiland for first in the 50 freestyle for the Tigers’ other two individual wins.
Holbrook, Paige Hawley, Josephson and Marotz won the 200 medley relay in 1:59.07 and the same group won the 400 freestyle relay in 3:59.62.
Marshfield hosts Wausau East next Thursday.
