WISCONSIN RAPIDS – The Marshfield volleyball team wrapped up its regular season with a dominating 3-0 sweep of Wisconsin Rapids in a Wisconsin Valley Conference matchup Thursday night at Lincoln High School.
The Tigers won 25-19, 25-14, 25-21 to finish the WVC season in third place with a 9-3 record.
Tiffany Stargardt had 11 kills and 15 digs, Mikala Sebastian, Courtney Bauer and Chelsea Akin each had six kills, and setters Tori Nanstad and Mary Wolff had 16 and 15 assists, respectively.
Marshfield opens its postseason at home next Thursday, Oct. 20, against Menomonie in a WIAA Division 1 regional semifinal.
