RIB LAKE – Rib Lake completed a sweep of the top two teams in the Cloverbelt Conference East Division, knocking off Marshfield Columbus Catholic 47-24 in a nonconference boys basketball game Thursday at Rib Lake High School.
The loss is the second straight for the Dons, who fall to 15-3 overall. Rib Lake improves to 11-7 by winning its fifth straight game.
The Redmen beat Spencer, the second-place team in the Cloverbelt East 62-44 on Tuesday, before knocking off Columbus, which is in first place in the Cloverbelt East.
Columbus holds on to a one-half game lead over Spencer in the conference after the Rockets beat Loyal on Thursday.
The Dons wrap up their Cloverbelt schedule with home games against Granton next Tuesday and Greenwood on Feb. 19, and at Loyal on Feb. 22.
