MARSHFIELD – Marshfield won three events as it opened its season with a Wisconsin Valley Conference boys swimming meet against Stevens Point Area Senior High on Tuesday at Marshfield High School.
SPASH won the meet 105-65.
Aaron Scheets, who advanced to the WIAA State Boys Swimming Meet last season for the Tigers, won the 200 individual medley in 2:12.46 and the 100 backstroke in 57.90 seconds. Michael Josephson also posted a victory for the Tigers, winning the 50 freestyle in 24.87 seconds.
Thomas Stevning-Roe placed second in the 100 butterfly, Josephson was second in the 100 breaststroke, and Jake Akin placed third in the 200 freestyle and 100 freestyle for Marshfield.
Joel Harria and Willie Rosenthal each won a pair of events for SPASH.
Marshfield will compete at the Stevens Point Invitational on Saturday.
