Marshfield boys hockey continues hot start to season with 4-1 win at Tomahawk

TOMAHAWK – Marshfield scored all four of its goals in the second period en route to a 4-1 nonconference win over Tomahawk in a nonconference boys hockey game Thursday night at Sara Park.

Marshfield improves to a perfect 3-0 this season with another nonconference game coming up at 1 p.m. Saturday at home against Chequamegon/Phillips.

Following a scoreless first period, Bo Howard scored 2:45 into the second on assists from Zac Alboreo and Cole Irish, and Schuyler Seyfert scored 1:43 later on an assist from Bobby Leggon to put the Tigers up 2-1.

After Tomahawk’s Trevor Iwen cut Marshfield’s lead in half, the Tigers closed the period strong with two more goals.

Austin Littmann scored at the 10;54 mark on an assist from Howard, and Littmann and Leggon assisted on Seyfert’s second goal with 35 seconds to go before the second intermission.

Tigers goalie Mac Alboreo wrapped up the win with six of his 18 saves in the third period.

Tomahawk goalie Ole Hanson had 35 saves in the loss.
