WAUSAU – The Marshfield boys and girls curling teams were defeated by Wausau East on Thursday in their season-opening matches.
The Tigers boys lost 12-7. Playing for the boys were Luke Behling (skip), Jacob Ferch (vice skip), Brandon Fahey (2nd), and Hunter Welch and Nolan Schmidt (1st).
The Marshfield girls were defeated 15-5. The girls team was made up of Jillian Behling (skip), Maria Brix (Vice skip), Kailey Pritzel and Erica Ede (2nd), and Paige Schultz and Neehal Shukla (1st).
Marshfield plays at Medford on Tuesday.
