WEYAUWEGA – Eleven Stratford wrestlers placed either first or second as the Tigers finished a perfect 5-0 to win the Weyauwega-Fremont Akey Duals Invitational on Saturday at Weyauwega-Fremont High School.
Andrew Schreiner (5-0 at 120 pounds), Kellen Bornbach (4-1 at 160) and Andrew Murdaugh (5-0 at 285) each placed first in their respective weight classes for Stratford.
Placing second for Stratford was Ryan Adank (3-2 at 106), Matt Krall (4-1 at 113), Phillip Sersch (4-1 at 126), Alex Heiden (4-1 at 132), Derek Dehlinger (4-1 at 152), R.J. Schiller (4-0 at 171), Dondrick Tackes (4-1 at 182) and Caleb Bryant (4-1 at 220).
The Tigers defeated Waupaca 52-18, Ripon 72-9, Fox Valley Lutheran 72-12, Weyauwega-Fremont 59-12, and Chilton 37-33 to earn the team win.
Stratford hosts Edgar in a Marawood Conference dual meet Tuesday.
