COLBY – Colby outscored Spencer in three of the four quarters and beat the Rockets 46-32 in a Cloverbelt Conference East Division girls basketball game Thursday night at Colby High School.
Spencer’s six-game winning streak was snapped and the Rockets drop to 6-2 overall and 4-2 in the conference. Colby takes over sole possession of third place in the Cloverbelt East standings at 5-1 and improves to 7-2 overall.
Colby led 10-6 after one quarter and 21-17 at halftime before outscoring the Rockets 25-15 in the second half.
Aubrie Bissonette scored nine points and Tara Matter had eight for the Rockets, who played without center Courtney Schulz and point guard Kyleigh Hebert.
Corrine Meacham scored 12 points and Sarah Gamillo had 11 points and 12 rebounds for Colby.
Colby outrebounded the Rockets 34-14.
Spencer returns to action Tuesday at Gilman.
