MARATHON – Stratford won three matches by forfeit and another by pin to outlast Marathon 39-23 in a Marawood Conference wrestling match Thursday night at Marathon High School.
Hunter Kauffman earned the only pin of the match for Stratford, taking down Zach Zunker in 1:44 at 195 pounds.
The Tigers won five other matches by decision – Andrew Murdaugh at 285, Steve Marquardt at 138, Derek Dehlinger at 152, Kellen Bornbach at 160 and Dondrick Tackes at 182.
Stratford will compete at the D.C. Everest Invitational on Saturday.
