SPENCER – The Spencer boys basketball team outscored Gilman by seven points in the fourth quarter to defeat the Pirates 57-54 in a Cloverbelt Conference East Division game Tuesday night at Spencer High School.
Sam Cattanach hit 10 of 15 shots from the field and scored a game-high 22 points for the Rockets (7-5, 5-5 Cloverbelt East).
Gilman led 30-27 at halftime and 41-37 after three quarters before the Rockets rallied to win their third straight game.
Joe Meyers added 11 points, hitting three 3-pointers for Spencer.
Clay Hendricks had 18 points to lead four Gilman players in double figures. The Pirates fall to 4-8 and 2-8 in the Cloverbelt East.
